These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place with VERY GOOD MAN LTD, trading as VGM Happy Pets (“we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them alongside our shipping, returns and privacy policies, which form part of this agreement.

1. About us

2. Products

We are a retailer of pet toys. We describe every product as accurately as we can, including size and intended use. Illustrations on this site are stylised representations rather than photographs, and colours may vary slightly from what appears on your screen.

Material and safety information in our listings is provided by the manufacturer. We will supply the relevant documentation on request.

3. Safety and supervision

No pet toy is indestructible. All toys should be used under supervision and inspected regularly. Retire any toy once stuffing is exposed, a seam opens or pieces begin to come away. Choose the size stated for your animal — a toy that is too small is a choking risk. We are not liable for injury or damage arising from use of a product contrary to the guidance on its product page.

4. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil an order — for example because an item is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred — we will tell you and refund you in full.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are shown and charged in pounds sterling (GBP). The price you pay is the price displayed at the moment you place your order. Delivery is a flat £20 per order and is shown separately at checkout before you pay.

Payments are taken by our payment provider. Charges appear on your statement as VGM HAPPY PETS. We never see or store your full card number.

We deliver to United Kingdom addresses only.

5a. Discount codes

Discount codes apply to the goods total only, not to delivery. One code may be used per order, codes cannot be combined, and they have no cash value. The welcome code HAPPYPETS15 gives 15% off the goods total and is intended for first orders. We may withdraw or change a code at any time, but a code correctly applied to an order you have already placed will always be honoured.

6. Delivery

We deliver to UK addresses only, at a flat £20 per order. Orders are dispatched within 3–5 business days and typically arrive 5–9 business days from order. Full timings are on our shipping and delivery page. Delivery estimates are provided by carriers and are not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

7. Cancellation, returns and refunds

You may cancel free of charge before dispatch. After delivery, our returns and refunds policy applies: 30 days to request a return, free return postage where an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site fraudulently, to place orders with a payment method you are not authorised to use, or to attempt to disrupt the site. We may cancel orders and refuse service where we reasonably suspect fraud.

9. Intellectual property

The content, illustrations and design of this site belong to us and may not be reproduced without permission.

10. Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract. We are not liable for business losses, and nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Complaints and disputes

Please contact us first at support@vgmhappypets.com. We aim to resolve every complaint within five business days. We would far rather fix a problem directly than have you raise a chargeback with your bank, and in practice we almost always can.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
